The Sino-American Zhejiang Maximal Forklift Co.Ltd is a Sino-American joint venture company formed in 2005 to produce world class forklift trucks incorporating state of the art American and Japanese production techniques and technology.

In 2006 Castle Forklifts Ltd director Cliff Hay visited Maximal Forklifts in China to establish criteria for the supply of forklifts suitable for us to offer in the sophisticated British and Irish markets. All aspects of the forklifts were discussed and final specifications agreed including the colour of safety yellow rather than standard blue. 

Subsequently the first deliveries arrived with us in UK and were quickly purchased by customers who had intended to purchase used equipment but were amazed at the competitive prices of new Maximals. 

Since that time, as official UK importers, we have sold new Maximal forklifts throughout the British Isles and they've proven to have the lowest warranty cost of any new forklift trucks the company has ever marketed including those built in Europe, USA and Japan.  There is no doubt that Maximal reliability is outstanding and sets the standard many other makers would envy.

The Sino-American Zhejiang Maximal Forklift Co., Ltd is conveniently sited near a main freeway with growth potential.  It already has 380 employees, amongst which there are 150 with academic certificates at or above the junior college level or obtaining junior superior title. Most of the 30 technicians have served as Chief Engineers or Assistant Chief Engineers in well-known domestic Chinese market forklift manufacturing enterprises.

The company owns an international advanced component processing center, component coating line, assembly line, machine performance test line, and forklift component test table, which are all provided with computer-control systems. Its leading product, the Maximal brand forklift, can be widely applied in the material handling of industrial, mining, carrying, storage and logistics trade.

The enterprise has invested 190 million RMB yuan to construct a new factory, with an area of 133500 square meters and a floor area of 19000 square meters. The designed production capacity is 5550 forklifts per year with expected production value of 400 million yuan, and the range already includes 1-3T electric forklifts and 1-7T counter balance internal combustion forklifts. The volume of sales in 2007 is 1550 forklifts, whose production value is 130 million yuan.

Phase 2 expansion project will be started up in Feb. 2009. Then the floor area of 19000 square meters will increase to 47000 square meters with a further investment of 370 million yuan.

In 2010 the company plans to increase the product range up to 20T capacity and by 2013 aims to be in the top ten manufacturers in the world..
