Feb 2007 - now taxed (free historic), MOT tested and back on the road - lovely jubbly. All it needed for the MOT was ..... a brake overhaul, new master cylinder, new king pin and bushes, new petrol tank, new radiator, alternator, good used replacement engine, new clutch, good used replacement gearbox, a lot of time sorting the ignition timing, carburettor, wipers, washers, lights, heater, electrics, plus the usual service items like spark plugs, points, oils, grease, filters, belt, hoses, gaskets etc. After that minor work it flew through the test. As a bonus it sits on a genuine Reliant replacement galvanised chassis that still looks brand new and should never rust. And as the fibre glass body can't rust it should now last forever. This super little van bears the autographs of various OFAH cast members on the bodywork and that D.BOY 84L number plate is a nice touch. I'm amazed at the offers I've had for the van. But none have matched the amount bid when Coys auctioned another in 2007 for £44,227 ? Click here for the BBC news story And that was for an inferior, rough runner with no MOT, wrong roof rack, no suitcase or blow up doll. I reckon it definitely makes mine worth £44,500. Cushty
