Yes after three years of happy ownership my beautiful Triumph Stag must go to make room for other projects.

|
| The
car spent it's first 20 years in Australia and returned to UK with it's owner
in 1997. Since then the upper body has been lightly restored and resprayed. The hood has recently been replaced and
the gearbox reconditioned in the past 3000 miles.

|
| The
body shell is extremely solid and the MOT man described it as
"amazing" with no evidence of welding anywhere underneath.
No doubt due to the years
spent in sunny
Australia.

|
| The
chromework is in excellent order and the car looks beautiful from all
angles in it's attractive Tahiti blue paintwork - voted the most
desirable Stag colour at Triumph events.

| The
interior is again excellent and finished in rare and desirable biscuit colour trim. The dashboard
veneers had split, no doubt by the Australian sun, so I sourced and
fitted good used replacements. The overall effect is superb and
the car draws compliments wherever it goes.

The twin stainless steel exhausts sound gorgeous and should never need replacing

| About 12000 miles ago the
original Triumph V8 engine was
completely rebuilt by a Triumph Stag Specialist and the invoice runs to 12
pages. Today it is nicely run-in and goes like the clappers.
Experienced Stag enthusiasts always comment
on it's smooth power and sweet running.
How could anyone swap these beautiful engines for Range Rover lumps? Philistines !!

The engine benefits from an electronic ignition system. It
maintains excellent oil pressure and the coolant temperature never goes
above the half way mark on the gauge. The standard fan and radiator have not
been cannibalised like so many other Stags with massive radiator cores
and electric fan etc - it's totally original and runs perfectly.
The recently replaced hood fits well and works ! The wheels were brand new when I bought the car and still fitted with New Zealand made tyres. Click on the picture for super size.
You can actually see through the crystal clear rear window. Click on the picture for super size.
The interior is very tidy and clean. Click on the picture for super size.
The carpets, trim and veneers compliment each other superbly. Biscuit coloured trim with Tahiti blue paintwork really turns heads. Click on the picture for super size.
Like all Stags the steering column is adjustable for rake making it extremely comfortable to drive. Click on the picture for super size. The history file is massive - the size of a telephone directory - and includes the original BL Passport to Service book supplied when new. It makes fascinating reading on damp winter evenings tracing it's travels around the Antipodes before being shipped back to UK. So why am I selling? As I said earlier, new projects have arrived and I need the space. Whoever buys this car can get in and drive it with confidence. It is taxed till July 2008 and MOT'd to August 2008. It flew through the MOT with no advisory comments - just praise from the tester who served his apprenticeship with Standard-Triumph when this car was built. I have been told if it was for sale at a specialist dealer the price would be £10995 I am offering it for sale at SOLD You will have to travel long and far to find another as good for the money. Remember the Australian owner paid to have it shipped back home 12000 miles. He wouldn't have done that for an average Stag would he? The car now lives in Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire CV37 J15 M40 10 miles
