AUTO LEVELLER INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Manual Operation

The up/down manual button can be operated independently to the ‘Auto’matic self levelling feature, with the switch in the manual control position.

Setting for ‘Auto’matic levelling

The operator can load or unload on either side. The load detector, in the case of boxes, recognize the nearest box; see Figure 1.

LOADING BOXED GOODS

    2. Use manual button on the battery box to raise empty pallet to full height.
    3. Switch to LOAD on the detector unit.
    4. Start to load, placing the box nearest the detector on last.

LOADING SHEET GOODS

Follow B and C above. Note: The pallet will stop above the floor to protect operators feet. This can only be overridden manually.

REMOVING AND PLACING PALLET ON FORKS

When pallet is fully loading, switch to manual and use up/down buttons on the battery box to remove full pallet and pick up empty pallet.

UNLOADING BOXED GOODS

G. Start to unload, removing the box nearest the detector last.

UNLOADING SHEET GOODS

Follow F and G above.

REMOVING AND PLACING PALLET ON FORKS

When pallet is empty, switch to manual and use up/down buttons to remove empty pallet and to pick up full pallet. DO NOT move machine unless the detector switch is in the manual postion.

IMPORTANT NOTES

The Auto Levelling pallet mover should not be used during charging

The battery cannot be overcharged if the electronic charger supplied is used

ASSEMBLY

This product is normally assembled before delivery. The detector unit is supplied in a separate box.

MAINTENANCE CHECKS AND ADJUSTMENTS

DAILY: The machine should be checked daily by the operator for obvious damage and faults

should be reported.

MONTHLY: Check the oil, chain tension to make sure the chain has not become slack and for serious oil leaks (with hydraulic units some oil may escape around the cylinder which lubricates the seal, if in doubt check with engineer) and that the brake is in working order.

ANNUALLY: Check if the chain is stretched (this is normally carried out by Insurance Inspectors), check the mast and rollers and check the machine for damage. Check the wheels and bearings for wear.

NOTE: Keep the chain test certificate issued with this pallet mover in a safe place.

FILLING WITH OIL

The hydraulic pump is filled with TELLUS 22 or I.S.O. VG 22 EQUIVALENT. This oil is suitable for all normal use. If the pallet mover is required to work at low temperatures in freezer units, a freezer oil must be used. Please contact our office for advice. The oil level should be 20 mm below the filler plug when the pallet mover is in the fully lowered position. The pallet mover should be pumped to full height before replacing the filler plug. Cleanliness is essential when topping up.
